What LIMINA does with your data — and, above all, what it doesn't.
Last updated: 28 September 2026
In short: no account, no ads, no tracking. Your journal and photos stay on your phone. Only two things ever leave the device: a photo you choose to have read, and the status of your subscription.
1. Who is responsible
Florent Puccini, sole trader (entrepreneur individuel), SIREN 932 699 697, 83330 Le Beausset, France. Contact: puccini.f13@gmail.com.
2. What stays on your device
Your journal (moods, notes, photos you decide to keep), favorites, preferences, language, onboarding answers and analysis counter are stored only in the app's local storage. We have no server holding them and no way to access them. They are erased if you delete the app or use "Delete all my data" in Profile.
3. Photo readings
Some rituals offer a symbolic reading of your photo. Only when you use this feature:
- before the first upload, the app asks for your explicit permission; you can withdraw it at any time in Profile ("AI photo readings");
- the photo, resized to 1,024 pixels, is sent over an encrypted connection to our server (a function hosted by Netlify), which passes it to our artificial-intelligence provider, OpenAI, for the sole purpose of producing the reading, without keeping it;
- OpenAI receives only the photo and the ritual's instruction: no identifier and no other data about you;
- the model is instructed to describe what is visible and never to read or transcribe handwriting;
- OpenAI does not use data sent through its API to train its models; it may keep it for up to 30 days to detect abuse, then deletes it (an image flagged as illegal may be kept longer for review);
- we do not keep the photo;
- you can always skip this step and finish the ritual without a reading.
To prevent abuse, our server keeps a daily count of readings tied to an irreversible fingerprint (hash) of your IP address, never the address itself; this counter is deleted the next day.
Legal basis: your consent for sending the photo (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR); our legitimate interest in protecting the service against abuse for the counter (Article 6(1)(f)).
4. LIMINA+ subscription
Payment is handled entirely by Apple: we never see your payment details. To recognize your subscription and let you restore purchases, the app uses RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc., United States), which receives a random identifier created on your device, your purchase history within LIMINA, and technical information (device model, iOS and app version, store country). No name or email address is shared with it. Legal basis: performance of the subscription contract.
5. Camera and photo library
Access is only requested for rituals that need it, at the moment you use it. No photo is ever sent automatically.
6. Recipients and international transfers
The only recipients are the providers named here: Apple (distribution and payment), OpenAI Ireland Ltd (photo readings, supported by OpenAI group companies in the United States), RevenueCat (subscription status) and Netlify (hosting of this website and of the function that passes photos to OpenAI without keeping them). Some processing takes place in the United States; these transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (and its UK extension) where the provider is certified, and otherwise on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses (as with OpenAI).
7. What we don't do
- No advertising, no ad trackers.
- No cross-app or cross-site tracking (no access to the advertising identifier).
- We do not sell or share personal information, including as defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act.
- No audience-measurement tools in the app.
8. How long data is kept
- Local data: until you delete it or uninstall the app.
- Analyzed photo: not kept by us; at most 30 days at OpenAI.
- Anti-abuse counter (IP address fingerprint): deleted the next day.
- Subscription status: for as long as you subscribe, then as required by applicable legal and accounting obligations.
9. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict, port and object to the processing of your data. For local data, you exercise these rights directly in the app. For anything else, write to puccini.f13@gmail.com; we reply within one month. You may also complain to a data-protection authority — in France the CNIL (cnil.fr), in the UK the ICO (ico.org.uk).
10. Children
LIMINA is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. Below the age of digital consent where you live (15 in France), a parent's permission is needed to use photo readings or subscribe.
11. Changes
This policy may change as the app evolves. The date at the top shows the version in force; the app will tell you about any significant change.
